Why not post it like this? 81K vs. 840K. 1/10th the bandwidth with the same horribly depressing look. That must have been a very sickening feeling when you first looked at it.

that's exactly why I never tried to get one. Missouri roads are horrible and my driveway would eat a splitter for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and midnight snack.

I hate when people quote pictures because that just takes up more bandwidth. Besides this is a pics and videos forum

I'm sorry if you didn't notice, but I didn't "quote" a picture. I reposted at 1/10 the filesize. I was just trying to demonstrate that there really is no reason to post files at the filesize used. There are still a lot of people on here that don't have access to broadband connections and it seems it would be a common courtesy to them to allow them to see the posts. It took about 10 seconds to reduce the bitdepth of the picture and keep 99% of the detail. Unless you plan on having people print out enlargements off of the post then there is no need for more.
I agree that this is a pics and videos forum and some things will be too large for dialup. But when they don't have to be why not include everyone in the group in your posts?
