true, but if i could look gay as hell and have a V8 id do it. like the 2000 SVT Cobra R. i think that rear spoiler looks fuggin gay, but at the speeds that car is capable of (172mph according to SVT) it is needed.

How bout this one...a 2 door Hyundai Accent with 13 inch steelies. NO mods AT ALL.
But...
on the back of the car where there should be the "Hyundai" and "Accent GL" stickers, there are "Porsche" and "911 Turbo" stickers.
I see it every morning on the way to work. If I had a beater car, I'm sure that by now I'd have used it to put this tool out of his misery.

Type R badges with no Type R engine, especially not even a damn Honda/Acura vehicle is automatic rice.

IMO rice is adding non-functional, useless things
ex. -huge wing on a FWD car
-negative camber
-adding 100 lbs. in extras like body kit and huge stereo, then gutting the interior to try and compensate
-adding just an exhaust tip
-any stickers written in japanesse

and its not limited to what you do to your car, people can be rice in personality and the way they act
-- driving like a bat out of hell in busy traffic
- putting it in neutral at every red lights so you will roll backwards and make people think you drive a stick

These are just a few that I could come up with off the top of my head.

Here in Tampa, I see some odd sights on my morning commute down Hillsborough ave. You see everything from those bling bling rims on a rusted out early 80's Buick Regal which always begs me to ask - "if you had that money, why didn't you take care of the rust?", the 1986 Acura Legend that was rebadged as a Skyline GT-R V-Spec. Back when I had my first car, an 89 Acura Integra, I always wanted to get a Type B sticker for it. Because it was the Integra Type B. What bugs me is ricers who spend money on mods when the car is a total piece of crap. If the car is dented up, the paint is flaking, and the tint is now purple, a new set of rims are not going to make it look any better. If you have the money for new rims, you have money for a better car. Though, that's just me. Though, I think that only the Zetec ATX tours are allowed to have Type R stickers, after all they were the Ford Contour Type Rental. I don't remember ever seeing any MTX or terribly many duratecs in the Hertz rental fleets.

The fact the guy had a Type R badge is what does it for me. There is a video of a guy with a Mustang at a car show once. He had his car badged as a "GTR." The guy told the camera man that it was something like a turboed rotery with pistons and headers. He obviously has no clue what he is talking about. That is rice.
