Hope anyone has insight into this one... I've had a bad vibration now for a while, between 65MPH and 75MPH. I've tried switching off the overdrive, putting the car into neutral but still the vibration persists. If I apply the brakes when the car is vibrating, the vibrations are amplified. Now today I brought it in to get the tires balanced hoping this would cure the problem. Left the shop, hit the highway and... NO CHANGE! So much for a cheap fix... Anyone got any ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks,

Chad

Vibration can be caused by many things.

Rotate tires from front to back to see if the problem moves. If so you may have a bent rim or just a bad tire.

If there is cupping on the front treads you will have to go through the front end to find bent or worn parts causing misalignment. This could be worn control arm bushings, tie rod ends, sub frame bushings or misalignment, struts, or even wheel bearings.

Vibration when braking is most often warped rotors. Always hand torque lugnuts, even insist that the shop does this.

I think the breaking thing is warped rotors.
