I have a Turbo kit comlpete for the 2.5L V6 manual. If i could figure out how to post a pic i would.
As of right now the prototype is being taken to a mandrel bending company in Ohio next week. There they will digitized and CNC mandrel bend two long pieces, and only have one weld instead of twelve. I have the turbo manifolds back on the prototype bench. I have pics of what we are improving but once again i have no idea how to post pics.....sorry. I have a couple T3/T4 Turbonetics turbo's and FMI's set aside for the Cougar and Contour turbo kit. The hard part is done.....(i hope) but i need to see the front of a Contour. Im pretty sure the FMI tubing design will fit fine on the Contour.

Thanks,
SNB

That wasn't too hard now. Let's see these pictures!!!

Also you may want to actually "see" a contour before you say a FMIC is going to fit. Even if you removed the condensor you still would have very little room to put a FMIC. If one fit it would be very small. That would be a major waste of power potential.

Not only that but a FMIC and it's subsequent long piping will cause a lot more pressure drop (I.E. the turbo has to spin faster (harder on the turbo) so the air is a lot hotter to begin with) and initial "lag" from all that piping would be significantly longer.
Also it will be no where near as efficient as a water to air IC.

1)I've seen a contour a few times.....its just been awhile. The time i have, it seemed to be more room than the Cougar. But...before i put my foot in my mouth i'll just wait and measure. It wasnt the condensor that looked to be the problem when i did look. Piping was going to be hard.

2) Loss of HP's becuase of the heat ....not because the fmi was too small. If you had a fmi that was too large then you would have the problem your speaking of.

3)Lag from the piping......no. Unless you had the wrong size piping...and i mean way to big. And that info is straight from Corky Bell. We have no problem with over heating(2.5L V6), and if you are not planning on running in city traffic at 100 degrees you should be just fine. If you plan on running your car really hard at the track then i would suggest getting a co2 kit for the fmi. Still would cost alot less than water to air. Just doesnt make since to spend $1300+ on a fmi. Besides....Street Flight doesnt even mount the intercooler on the front do they?

What's funny naynay is that you are arguing about an intercooler that you don't know how it works. A liquid to air intercooler has a heat exchanger and yes it is mounted in front.

What about the rumor that ITS is broke and not producing the kits? Your pipes being stuck at the coater?

Did your kit make 350 while not under load at 5psi?

I drive in city traffic at 100+ ambient temp for 5 months out of the year.

Itsturbo is not apart of my company. Once was, but now they are broke and out of business. Like i said before the protoype is done, now is being finished with all mandrel bending. Itsturbo was the ones giving all the numnbers on the kit. I will not give out numbers like they did. The kit will produce good numbers, but to be precise...no. Even though im sure i could get 350hp.....but throw a rod half a mile into the air.

Since when is the intercooler front mounted from Street Flight? Im only saying that because i was told it was not.
If you drive in those conditions then spend the extra $$ for the intercooler you want. Thats NOT a big deal.....

I will be putting down somewhere around 350whp with stock 3L rods with my Street Flight kit...

You have a complete turbo kit . Or your reverse engineering another kit, I think is what you meant to say. While were at it why don't you explain to everyone were you got those T3/T4'S and FMIC. I bet I could shed some light on that.

Hmmmm....someone thinks they know something. Shed some light and then i'll put you in your place. You dont know where i get anything. You go ahead and explain that one and i'll give out names and phone #'s to where i get everything done.
And if you really think Itsturbo has anything to do with me and this kit or anything else i have i will go ahead and let you know how Itsturbo took off with my $10,300. I would love to tell you their lawsuits they are going through. Including the one i have against Carson, and its over a felony that he has commited.
So to have anyone bring up Itsturbo does strike a nerve, so i appologize for lashing out. I think if you had someone steal over $10,300 from from you , you would be upset also. It is halarious that someone took off with equipment from Itsturbo....deserves them right. With my money backing, why would i take anything from anyone anyways? I dont feel bad for them at all!

Thanks!
