I decide to by pass the factory amp. So I took out the wire harness from the amp that runs to the Radio and the other wire harness that runs from the amp to speakers and other places.
I wanted to splice the two together and let my HU power the speakers (for now). When I did this I can no longer use my alarm or door locks.
Does anyone know what the wires mean on that other harness. I am assuming it not only goes to power/remote/speakers but it does something else.
when i bypassed mine i never had that problem. I didnt even really bypass it right because the harness was wrong. All I did was unplug both harnesses and just took the speaker one and used that. I never had any problem with door locks or anything and my alarm works but it is aftermarket. --chris
I am haveing the same problem. My Keyless remote quit working, the Ford Dealership dosen't know what to do either. Sorry I didn't help but I just wanted you to know that I am also having trouble.
