And the difference between him calling me an ass (or implying it, pick your poison) and my [censored] emote is... The "If you can't dish it out.." remark comes to mind,

your comparing 2 engines with a displacement difference of over a LITER...thats like comparint the Triton V-10 to the Magnum V10...the magnum is an 8.0L and the triton is 6.8... there is no comparison.
Yes, as I pointed out, Zip. However, the 03 Cobra is boosted and the LS1 is not--thus this whole spiel. You need to work on your comprehension skills, bud. And the fact that you of all people are tryng to scream troll is bitter-sweet irony.
Can't we peacefully discuss their cars vs ours without these kinds of threads turning into flame wars ? Seriously, it's not that big a deal. It's the lack of mutual respect that leads to discussions like this, and to be honest, Zip, you of all people should know better.

actually ford did put the 5.4 liter in the '00 cobra r and n/a it runs about the same as the supercharged 03 cobra...i also don't see what difference it makes what engine is in the '03 its still fast....
They acctually made a 5.8L V-10, for the stang as a experiment but they'll probly nevr make it. It put 430hp and 405tq to the wheels and ran 4.4(0-60)and 12.8(1/4mile)

The guy I bought my Ranger from actually worked on this Mustang! I saw the pictures to prove it! He worked for Roush!
Anyway. Yes its true for a few thousand your LS1 will run with or faster than a supercharged Cobra. So will a 5.0 Mustang. Yippee.

Mine has a supercharger. Oh yeah!? Mine has 1.1 more liters. Six of one, half dozen of the other...sheesh.

I've seen both at the track and elsewhere. I love the sound of the LS1 but the S/C V8 own3s!!! My whole thing with Camaros and Corvettes is that they are EVERYWHERE!!! Almost everyone is modified. Now I don't see many Cobras (at least the 03). Just remember no matter what you have or what you have done there will be someone faster...so it is pointless to argue.

Hey Tim..I got your back. Hey guys...go to LS1Tech.com to learn something. Guys...I just got my LS1 and it's an auto. Stock I run a 13.5...and that was with 87 degree track temps!! This is 2 seconds faster than my Mystique after all the work I put into that car. (SVT UIM, ported TB, K&N cone filter, gutted cats, SHO y-pipe, exhaust) All this talk about how many liters you have or is it N/A...yada, yada, yada.....it doesn't matter! The fact is....an LS1 makes around 300-325 HP at the rear wheels.....STOCK!!! The LS6 in the Z06 makes around 370-390...STOCK!!! In order to keep up with this...Ford had to supercharge their engine. Now...all I have to do is buy a torque converter($500-$900)...and I will turn 13.0's all day long. Headers and exhaust($800-$1000 total)...I'll be in the high to mid 12's........cam and heads($2000)....low 12's to possibly high 11's. All of this naturally aspirated!!! Like they say...no replacement for displacement!!

Ford didn't really have to S/C their engine...the Cobra R had like 340Hp to the rear wheels on their 5.4L (a little more comparable to the 5.7L on the GMs) Now why didn't Ford use the 5.4?
