Same exact experience I had w/ my car at Village, both in the body shop and the service dept.

My service advisor was great (Nick Zak.) but whoever ended up doing the work on my car (every single time) was incompetent. I will never return to Village Ford, even though I drive by it twice every single day.

It just frustrates me that a dealership can have such horrible service in the body shop and everyone seems to just admit it and shrug it off like it's no big deal.

I have called corporate on them twice. (the only way i could get a phone call returned) The second time to try to get them to let me get it painted at anotehr dealership, but it's just like i'm talking to a robot who keeps saying "Different dealerships do not warranty other dealerships work." Well I think that's BS.

Yeah, they suck.

A few weeks ago I had my car in for a new computer flash and they decided to "adjust the door" as it was hard to open but apparently I had never noticed (think warranty claim).

After that point my door sounded like it was open. I brought it in last week and they decided I needed a new door molding (think warranty claim).

So they order the part and the next day I come back and they put it in. Finally, I though my horrid experience had come to an end. I get in the car to leave to found out they broke my selt belt adjuster on the B pillar. Brought them out and they ordered another part (think warranty claim).

I came back for a 3rd day in a row and they fix my seat belt while putting all sorts of boot and grease marks on the inside. I went to inspect my car before leaving and low and behold 3 new scratches that were not there before they touched my car, all on driver side. I knew it was them because they were around the door molding and I had just detailed the car the previous week.

All of this and not one offer to wash or vaccuum my car. Thanks for the SVT service Village Ford.

I tried to send the boss an email but EVERY single email address on their site does not work. Quality work there.

I called corporate and they still did not bother to call me. They won't be touching my car anyhow. Crooks!

Their motto is "In Dearborn We Have to Be Better". If this is better, I can see why FoMoCo is in for the fight of its life.

yep that sounds like the place i work for. Belive me you do not want them to wash your car because they would just run it threw sh@#$! car wash located in behind the service department. It would probly have taken of a layor of your paint if they had ran it threw so concider yourself lucky that they did not do that

I would not have let them wash it but they could have offered. Now, the vacuum I might have let them do had I not just done it.

Oh well, they can die a thousand deaths.

Hmmmmm....maybe that's what's been happening to my car.

Are you sure it's a rod knock? I ask because I thought I had this same problem, and took my car to the dealer to have it looked at (it was under warranty at the time) The tech came out and lisened to it, said "yep, sounds serious, like a piston or a rod". Turns out 3 of my spark plugs had wiggled loose, and they simply tightened them. Problem solved.

I have 00' csvt and it will knock when its time to change the oil. Also I started putting a synthetic blend oil in it and it made a big difference. It was burning about a quart of oil in between oil changes. I don't have that problem either since I switched to the blend.
