My car is acting wierd. It'll do it merging onto the freeway almost every time!
What happens is the car runs great through 1st and then around 60-70 MPH its like the car hits a wall. The car won't rev and it won't go. If I back off the gas petal some it will start to go some and if I back enough for it to upshift it will continue to accelerate.
Right now I suspect the fuel pump but I figured I'd ask.
Could this be a transmision issue?
I think I'm going to pick up one of them cheap Autometer Air/Fuel gauges to see if it's going lean when this is happening.
Any suggestions? The car is stone stock.

sounds like a fuel problem change your filter and pull your pump and look at the sock filter on the bottom of the pump
