Warm it up, make sure it doesn't puke out any fluids, oil change, then go for it. Modern rings don't need to seat in like the olden days...

11k on my 3.0L when I put it in... Put my stock clutch in at first and went right to town ripping the snot out of the car... Clutch came apart 8 days later... SPEC Stage I went in, broke it in for 500 miles... Proceeded with beating the snot out of it... Everything is good as gold... Train your motor to run, run it hard, and she'll run that way forever...

Uhhh, yep that's me. Dan D is a great contact for all CSVT info. He was a big help. I let him drive it a few days ago. He liked it.
It will be interesting to compare our 3L's sometime(of course, only in a controlled legal off road location ) It should be a porting and headers vs. no porting (but higher CR) and MPV manifold contest, right?
Hope your 3L is finished soon, mine is a blast.

Yes, Dan said he really likes how your car handles with the eibachs and BATs. Mine should be done tonight. Also thank you for donating the front springs and struts. We put cougar suspension on the rear and took half a coil off the front but still seems as if the front is still riding higher than stock. Odd but we'll have all the kinks werked out soon enough. Congrats on finishing your 3L.

Got it started and drove it about 25 miles. I'm very pleased with the tourqe and power it gives once those secondarys open up. Dan beleives its gonna be quite comparable.

The Mazda MPV runs the same 3L block as sable taurus escape. These manifolds, instead of dumping into one bank like the the stockers, they are more tubular and come together. Also they come stock with no catalyist b/c the suvs dont have to pass as high of emissions, but there still is the expansion chamber there so it gives power. Also there isn't that nasty 90 crush type bend in the front manifold. Flows better with a lil better tone.
