Well, I got my system, and is it beautiful. Living conditions over here are getting better all the time. We are getting tents with heat/AC, decent showers and latrines. I almost feel human again. We are not expecting to leave Iraq until late March - early April.

Hey Sandman, is there anyway that CEG maybe could get a care package directly to you?

Send a list of what you need, I've got a few free minutes on my hand right now.

I'm sure you can find threads about what's happening in my life, but let's just suffice it to say I'm in need of as much prayer support as I can get.

However, I cannot forget the men who answer the call to defend freedom, so tell us what you need or want.

Powdered gatorade is always nice. AA and D batteries are used by a lot of guys. Some type of power invertor for 110V power from 12V batteries would be nice. Any recent release DVDs (widescreen versions) would be nice too. I really don't know what to ask for. I already feel like I'm asking for too much. Just knowing I have the support of people back in the states is really enough. It helps a lot. The worst part of being over here is missing the wife and kids.

Our living conditions are actually going to improve quite a bit here pretty soon. Real beds, dencet showers and latrines, a decent dining facility, a PX. I'm used to living in dirt with a shower every 4 days to a week. Those showers have been either blistering hot (when the daytime temps here were 137 in the shade), or freezing cold (right now, when the night temps are in the 50's and daytime is 105 or so. Believe it or not, 105 feels comfortable. Strange, huh?

Good to hear, man. I'll whip up a little package here and send it out. Take care.

Not strange at all, but then again, I went through it too. You must be further south, the temps here are about 95-100 for highs. But still in the 60's for lows. It's actually getting pretty nice here.
