All three companies you mentioned are very good. No debating that. I don't think you should feel odd! At least not for the audio equipment you use.
Unfortunately, IMO, most car audio mfg charge way too much money for what you get. In some cases you are stuck with paying the price (HUs, EQs, Amps) but in the case of speakers, you can do much better by buying the components and rolling your own crossovers, even if they are just text book crossovers.
