The only thing I can think of is check the carpet.
If your heater core went then the carpet around the center console should be damp or very wet!
Is your oil looking any different?
Haynes manual says "Check the dipstick and inside of the rocker arm cover
for water deposits and an oil consistency of a milkshake" head gasket, cracked cylinder... 
might need to do a cooling system pressure test.
