Plus, like I stated before, if you are selling lamps they would need to be approved. Granted the 90mm Hella modules are completely DOT legal but the modified turn signals (which were legal), the lack of sidemarkers/reflectors (I have them but I doubt everyone is going to want to do bory work to mold in the markers), etc is something that needs to be looked into. Since they would be new, they would need certification to be legal. You might even get away with selling them, but is you got caught the fines would be heavy and you would probably end up recalling all of the lamps and refunding the money.
But, like I said, I would be more then willing to help. The stock lamps really suck and the Hellas are a *much* needed improvement for what was initally about the same money.
Well, just to chime in here, Jon helped me out all along with my headlight project, along with Swazo also, but Jon gave me a whole bunch of ideas on how to go about building >98 projector lights. He's a wealth of information, and I still appreciate all the help he gave me! It's nice to know that my lights are completely DOT legal...minus the stock reflectors.

dion your car is the shizzzzz plain and simple. it is easily my favorite ride on the site the thing is we pre 98ers have zero options other than building a set ourselves like the set exdelayed did. the morette seems to be the best solution because our yellowed lenses dont give us the option to build a set like you did with the clear lenses. someday i hope we have an option.

I just found these over at Susquehanna MotorSports. They would be perfect for the Morettes. $57 each. If the morettes were sold without the lamps, it would be a relatively cheap option. Just buy the lamps when you have the cash. You could also pick and choose your preffered lamp style. Xenon, H7 halogen, or H9 halogen. Just a thought... BP

Those would be the ones that Jon and I used, as well as Swazo and Milan. You just have to come up with a mounting solution.

Oops. I havent been paying attention.

Yep, those are my lamps. Two highbeams and four of the H9 lows. IIRC, they can also get the H7 (euro) and the H8 (fog) pieces. Anyway, I will deal with them again, they are quite helpful and I am thinking of swapping out to the H7 unit when I go to D2S.

The H7 (bulb) is easier to get, but is rated at a lower output then the H9. I can also tell that you havent priced the xenon units. It would be more like thinking, pre-98 SVT body kit or the two xenon modules. However, if you head over to faq.auto.light.tripod.com you can find info about modifying the backplate of a halogen unit to take a D2S.
Originally posted by Cris'pus: Did this darken the lens during the day? AKA like Nightshades?

It darkened it like three coats of flat black paint. The light only came out of the opening. It was also LEDs so it stayed quite focused.
Here is something else that should get you guys thinking...
They fit quite easily. If you do it spend $15 extra and buy some of the 3M protectant that Xpel sells. If you dont you will be buying new lamps in six months. These lamps also did gain the correct plugs later. It would have been pointless to be testing wire length with the socket in place. The black plastic cover still fit also.
