I was assuming $0 for the y-pipe since it's DIY mod, but if you have to pay for it that would be more expensive obviously. As far as the catback, why would you bother with stainless in AZ.? It would probably take 15 years to rust. Do you know that your stock exhaust is aluminized? If for looks, than it's your choice, I was merely making suggestions based on inexpensive, but effective mods.

Naw i didnt know the stock pipes were aluminized, that does make a difference in my decision. Im orginially from jersey and with the roads and winters out there stainless would be worth it. I guess im thinking about the possiblity of me going back home and hoping my spoiled car will survive.

I guess I need to find someone with the know-how to do the y-pipe mod for me. Is the high flow y-pipes on spmotorsports.com a clean bolt on, if so i would just buy that and bolt it on myself to save me the hassle?

Are there any how-to's on the homemade heatshield? I was wondering if anyone lined theirs with insulation of some sort. Or possibly a cutout pattern for the aluminum sheets (assuming thats what they use).
