Other than that, I would suggest taking advantage of the great little SEARCH feature on the site for more info.
Sounds good but for me i dont see that being had for $500. Is there a secret handshake or something to get someone to modify the y-pipe? The place i went to get my y-pipe done wouldnt touch it because its supposedly illegal to modify anything before the cat. So for me i cant imagine it being had for less than $100 if at all. And I guess you are suggesting the cheapest trubendz catback available, aluminized without a resonator for about $300+ but I would go for the stainless at the least which is about $500 by itself. Does the KKM intake adaptor fit any of the K&N filters, if so what model?

If you have a KKM adapter that will work fine. If you read through the posts above, the part number for the perfect size K&N is listed.
I was assuming $0 for the y-pipe since it's DIY mod, but if you have to pay for it that would be more expensive obviously. As far as the catback, why would you bother with stainless in AZ.? It would probably take 15 years to rust. Do you know that your stock exhaust is aluminized? If for looks, than it's your choice, I was merely making suggestions based on inexpensive, but effective mods.

yeah i checked twice with the "search feature" and both times came up with way to much crap to sift thru, my time is worth more than that. second who the bloody hell cares how someone spells unless your an english lit major? im typing on a forum, with a bunch of zit faced kids who dont give a rats ass, if i were typing a resume then i could understand the need for spelling check, otherwise, shut up... im tired of every one out there keeping up with the "use the search feature" yay and when i use it i either get nothing, or an over abundance of CRAP that i do not have the patience NOR the time to sort thru. so just tell me what i want to know like the previous people and get on with your life so i can get on with mine! THANK YOU.

Naw i didnt know the stock pipes were aluminized, that does make a difference in my decision. Im orginially from jersey and with the roads and winters out there stainless would be worth it. I guess im thinking about the possiblity of me going back home and hoping my spoiled car will survive.
I guess I need to find someone with the know-how to do the y-pipe mod for me. Is the high flow y-pipes on spmotorsports.com a clean bolt on, if so i would just buy that and bolt it on myself to save me the hassle?
Are there any how-to's on the homemade heatshield? I was wondering if anyone lined theirs with insulation of some sort. Or possibly a cutout pattern for the aluminum sheets (assuming thats what they use).

Any aftermarket y-pipe should be a direct bolt in should you decide to go that route. as far as the heat shield, it would be better to use a material that will not conduct heat as much, such as plastic or rubber. Many people have used cut-up wastebaskets with success. I got mine from a board member John Miks am very satisfied.

So let me get this straight...you would rather waste OUR time than educate yourself on the car that you drive? And on top of that you want to insult us to our faces and expect help?
You are lucky you don't live in my neck of the woods...not only would i smoke you off the road...but we might have some words my friend. You will find that if you ask the right questions after looking at the options you will get a much better response as the guru's on this site will know exactly what your problem or goal is.

Well, if you enlarge your exhaust.... you lose low end HP and gain SOME upper HP. My opinion is keep the stock sizing and just open up the exhaust (y-pipe) SVT style or better. Either use chambered flowmasters at the tail pipe with a straight through resinator in the center or vise versa. As far as intake goes, smooth airflow gives the best gains via SVT's extrude honed UIM. In that aspect, you can replace the accordian tube with an aluminum pipe style setup. The ultimate setup would be an intake pipe that expands from TB size to 3" where the 3" end of the accordian tube used to be. Then the sky is the limit. Keeping stock lengths and sizes is crucial for overall performance. Or if you just want to take the easy route and spend more money losing in the lowers and gaining in the uppers then go for it! It seems kinda pointless to add a bigger exhaust system, unless you plan on flooring it everywhere you go. If so, be sure to put back alot more money for gas, oil, maintanance, and speeding tickets!
