since the svt has more aggressive cams, that means that the intake and exhaust valves are open longer simultaneously. its good on n/a engines, but when this happens on boosted engines, thats just wasted boost thats escaping.

Even though svt cams are not ideal, I still think there a better option than the SE. The cougars that dynoed didn't show the power gain that the SVT did. Even though they are running 9:1 compression stock, I dont't think the one point factored to much in the power difference (even though Keysers was dynoed w/ higher octane ).IMO. But still good luck, you will be making plenty of power anyways

nope...i think your thinking of bmxcontour who was there, who has the micah front bumper and has an electric red 95 contour atx.

yes, 3.0L heads have the bigger valves, no cam driven waterpump, and they are ported and polished. also, according to terry, using 2.5L heads can cause "hot spots" in the combustion chamber. the cams are the standard 2.5L cams.

shaun, thats fine if you want to race, on the drag strip of course. i just hope you can keep up.

Funny how the 2.5L heads don't cause hot spots when they are bolted on from the factory to the 2.5L block...which is essentially the same block with a different liner and the pistons which are essentially the same except a few millimeters wider.

No, the cougars/contour 2.5L duratecs are running 9.7:1 stock!!!!!!
This means only .3 difference.

The SVT motors work better from the breathing capability and some other factors.

i was talking about the 11.2:1 compression 2.5L heads causing hot spots.
