I'm glad you're taking a lot of pictures of this setup. It's fun to shoot URL's to buddies and show them the kinds of engines and engine components Ford is capable of doing right. Is this a 3.0L Duratec or a 2.5/3.0L Duratec hybrid ? I don't spend a lot of time wrenching around in Duratecs, so I can't name those cams or heads by sight (but it's neat that others can).

Cheers,
Tim

they are 3L heads, you can tell by the 1 front camshaft not sticking out of the head. i believe they are PnPed too

Other than cost and time, what's the advantage of using 3.0L Duratec heads over 2.5L SVT heads ?

Tim

using the 2.5L heads give you high compression, the exact opposite of what he wants to do with the turbo

nope...i think your thinking of bmxcontour who was there, who has the micah front bumper and has an electric red 95 contour atx.

yes, 3.0L heads have the bigger valves, no cam driven waterpump, and they are ported and polished. also, according to terry, using 2.5L heads can cause "hot spots" in the combustion chamber. the cams are the standard 2.5L cams.

shaun, thats fine if you want to race, on the drag strip of course. i just hope you can keep up.
