The fog light mod is real simple...us the how-to instructions, it is right on the money. While I do a lot of wiring in my job it is still very easy. Don't be afraid...I have a 2000 SVT and it works perfect
As for the brake caliper painting the biggest and most important part of the whole job is getting the parts you want to paint CLEAN!!! Degrease, wire brush, degrease, wire brush and degrease again...then clean with break cleaner or something similar that will evaporate and leave no residue. Some recommend the final cleaning with alcohol. If you don't get them clean you will get "fish eyes", these are dots that the paint will not adhere to and they look awful. I recommend a base coat with "hi-temp" cast blast (Seymour or Duplicolor) and then coat with your choice of color using "hi-temp" engine enamel. You can get a kit from Eastwood Products but it is pretty expensive and I think engine enamel and caliper paint are the same...both are hi-temp and both resist chemicals for the most part. When I did mine I removed the brake pads and rotors and covered every thing but the calipers with newspaper and masking tape and just sprayed them in the fender well. Make sure you cover everything real good and don't do it on a windy day or you will have over spray on your car
Here are some pic's from when I did my calipers.

Hope this helps,
