Run the power cable from the battery to the amp. Now pick a spot where you want the cap to go (It should be as close as possible to either the amp or distribution block. Cut the power cable in the chosen spot and put connectors on the ends.
Hook the negative to your ground wire. You should ground everything at the same place in the car (I chose the seatbelt reel location)
Hook the positive from the battery to the positive side along with the rest of the wire leading to the amp/distribution block.
MAKE SURE YOU DON'T REVERSE THE POLARITY!!! Your cap will vent itself and become a paper weight.
