Actually it IS california's biggest cash crop and has been for about a decade...and yes i'm awake. And since if california were to be it's own country we would be the 5th wealthiest country in the world...i think that may have quite an impact on our nations monetary resources.

Although our culture is different than any other in the world we have to look at what's been done in other countries (holland, canada, etc...) and take the positives and negatives. I think we don't give the citizens of this country enough credit to make up their own minds. But if you don't give people the options...they will make them for themselves. It seems that the majority of people are really concerned with the physical detriments of legalizing MJ (Mary Jane...not Mary Jay)...well as many have said it is much safer than tobacco or alcohol. There should be no dispute of that. Also it should be said that there is no physical addiction to MJ...unlike tobacco and alcohol. The addiction is simply mental...and leaves the choice strictly on the user.
