Sorta off topic but... The reason they have less deaths is: There is a speed limit on much of the autobahn. The parts that don't have it only don't have it in good weather. The whole road is monitored by cameras and has electronic signs so they can change the speed limit at will. Also it costs over $1k to get a license in those countries and the driver's education is much better than ours. The inspections on the cars may be tougher as well. (Many cars in the US are never inspected but I'm guessing every car in Germany is inspected yearly.)

Hmmm... Better driver education? In the same article the reporter saw 2 bikers chased by the Polizei Audi and the cops lost them. Don't think we have something like that here...

We don't have people run from the cops here? Where do you live?  Crime is a major problem on the autobahn, which is a reason for all the cameras.

So you were a slacker from the age of 12 to 25. Virtually everyone is. While it could be attributed somewhat to pot, I doubt that was the majority of the reason you were unmotivated. Being a slacker is just part of being a teen; and most grow out of it -- right around the age of 25.
If Pot somehow makes people less motivated then explain how countries where it is more tolerated (ie Most of Europe) or even where it is legal/semi-legal are some of the most successful economies in the world?
It's simply a different mindset between them and us. Our culture is far more to blame for the "side-effects" of Pot than the pot itself.

In my hood u try to fart in the presence of a cop and you will be handcuffed in a faction of a second. I posted here a while ago about cops who pulled this 47 y o lady right by my place, accused her of drinking (the window was rolled down so they stated the smelled alcohol) and when it turned out it was a chicken marinated with port, they took the chicken and let the woman go...
