If mj had been legal from the start would our society be in a worse or better position? Who knows, but just consider adding on the statistical avg of deaths and collateral costs associated with the current legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco and make the decision for yourself.

Even if it was legalized there would be no denying that it would just add on to the number of deaths, and costs that comes with drug use of any kind. No matter how you cut it people are going to break the law no matter how high the bar is set. They've made liqour legal but look at all the DUIs. People will drive high, drunk, or medicated no matter what the law says. Why make it easier.

Personally I don't care what people drink or smoke. If you like mary j then more power to you, put one in the air for me and throw on some Bob Marley. All I'm saying is I don't think it should be legalized or decriminalized because in the end it will cause more harm than good.
