I really hope they offer a real Manual beside the SMG. But otherwise its an awesome car.

It doesn't matter how bad the rear styling is, because from all that burnout smoke that V10 will make, the rear probably won't be visible anymore.  God Bless America, money, and BMW.

I'm sorry but I think its ugly(no matter how much ooph it has), the last decent BMW in my opinion was the current M5, the current 3 series looks so cheap and the styling of the 7 and now the 5 makes me barf..... yay for the yuppymobile..... at least that's who buys them here.....

You know, I had the privledge of having the VP of BMW North America (i think, either that or the Michigan area...) in my van at the Resort where I drive (shuttle vans etc.) and we discussed the rear end styling on the 7 and now 5 series. he explained to me how the reason for the styling is actually aerodynamics. the trunk lid area has a sort of spoiler integrated into it, if you look at it right you can actually tell it almost looks like an old Porsche whale tail grafted in smooth. he admitted he didn't like it a lot at first either but it's grown on him and I have to say I agree. Now if we could only redo the side profile of the Z4.....

gotta love the engine..but like sme ohters said the styling is bleh...i like the last version of the 5series..and 7 series....current version of 3 series is nice too....

the new 5 series is SEXY. but...today I saw my first one on the highway getting on from a ramp and it was smoking from underneathe the back driverside wheel. It smelled horrible but it was fast as a mudder. didn't make a great impression though with the smoke and stench coming from the rear though
