I am not one to agree with the "blame the victim" defense, but either this girl doesn't do laundry or something is amiss... click The changes in her statements to police are troubling enough, but the forensic evidence is strange. If I were a juror, this alone would be enough for reasonable doubt.

This case is being tried less than 50 miles away from where I live. Kobe's guilty, and his defence has an amazing way of making something small and irrelevant into something that would cause reasonable doubt. What would you expect from a multi-million dollar defense?

how do you know kobe's guilty, do you have access to some evidence we don't? it's sad that people can make judgements about a situation they don't have complete knowledge of. i'm not saying he's innocent or guilty, but i do know he's innocent until proven guilty. but...if you want to use the evidence that we've heard in the media to come to a conclusion, then that evidence doesn't support the police accusation that kobe raped this woman. the physical evidence is questionable, the witness testimony is questionable, the woman's state of mind and sexual history/conduct is questionable. like i said it's all speculation so there's no way to come to a conclusion based on what we've heard, but it looks like some people have already made up their mind and convicted him of the crime.

Yeah, you're right BP. I guess OJ Simpson never commited those murders either, because the clear and obvious evidence that he commit the crime became untrue when the jurors were told to ignore it. Just because a court says you are guilty or innocent doesn't change what really happened. The judicial system has been wrong before, despite the evidence given.
But you are true that people make judgements on which sources in the media they use.

My "jury" is still out on this one, but let's look at the facts. (My apologies if anyone if offended by the facts.)
Kobe brought her up to his room, turned her around, bent her over a chair, lifted her skirt and pulled down her panties, and had intercourse with her that lasted no longer than 5 minutes. No one is denying this. Also, she was in and out of Kobe's room in less than 20 minutes. Again, no one is denying this.
Now, everyone loves a quickie from time to time, but let's be real about this. How many women would actually consent to this scenario? How many women would go up to a stranger's room, bend over for 5 minutes, and then get the hell out of there like the building was on fire? None that I know of, certainly none that I've just met. Granted, I'm not a professional athlete, but I think I have a pretty good understanding of what's going on here.
The defense is trying to make us (the jury  ) believe that the girl is a "slut", and by convincing us of that they can then introduce a "reasonable doubt" that the "rape" actually occurred. Basically, if she is a "slut", then even if the "rape" did occur, she must have deserved it. I'm not saying this is morally right, but it's the defense's job to get Kobe off (so to speak) and they'll do whatever they have to do to get the verdict.
Like I said, I haven't decided for myself whether Kobe's guilty or innocent, but it's pretty obvious which way I'm leaning. Unless there's more evidence, though, I doubt they can prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt.

i guess the fact that they had been together for a pretty good part of the day and she had basically been his personal concierge since he arrived doesn't count as time spent huh?

well how many women have sex with 3 different men in 3 days?
why did the "underpants" they tested the day she went to the hospital contain semen from someone other than bryant?
why was she allegedly bragging about the encounter at a party days after the supposed attack happen?
i'm not saying she's a slut because i don't know her or her sexual history. i'm sure that will all come out. if it quacks like a duck...
and no one has said she deserved to be raped. if her story is true then it will hold up in court. unless it continues to change...

Simple fact...women lie about this stuff every day! So many innocent men are in jail cause some [censored] cryed wolf. Only difference here is Kobe can afford good enough lawyers to get him off, most guys(victims) can't.
