I just moved into my new house and i have 20'x20' room in the basement i am setting up JUST for the entertainment center. I have a 52" Mitsubishi TV already and a shi**y surround sound thing i bought at best buy for like 200 dollars...big mistake. So what do you guys reccomend. Im not going to buy everything at once, just the actual player now, speakers later...gimme what ya got!

well - you're gonnna get 40 answers here, first question is how much do you want to (willing to) spend?

$400 on the player itself, and maybe $600 or so for the speakers and Sub.

Over rated, you can do much better for cheaper.

oh man, you can get a sweet setup for that amount! by player do you mean the receiver? or DVD player? do you need both?

Receiver and DVD combo would be nice, but if i have to ill buy seperate.

As you know, the Wave Radio is not considered as a home theatre setup. Not even close. He is looking for Home Theatre components/pieces. I suggested Bose because the quality is superb. Whether he is willing to pay the price for it is up to him.

Onkyo Cinema Series. I have their receiver, 5 disc DVD, and their 7 piece surround package. I live in an apartment and it still sounds AWESOME. My neighbors hate me when they hear/feel cars whipping around next door at 2 in the morning!

I know he's after home theater, I was just giving a prime example of Bose being over hyped and over priced.
