You are thinking the Pre-Cats. They are Before the Y-pipe. (SEARCH )

An off-road Y-pipe deletes the main cat.

A well running engine will still pass the sniffers, but automatically fail a visual inspection.



Well, I am a dumba$$ . Thats what happens when you stay up late on the internet after drinking heavily.
If passing the E test is a concern, I'd just stay with a high flow cat, or even an optimized stock pipe. I think when comparing the pipe w/ the high flow cat and the offraod pipe, theres really not that much of a power difference, maybe 1-2 hp.
