I just took my car in to check a CEL it's had off and on for about a week.
They told me it was:
P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1.
He also added that it occured in the low voltage position
He said he would replace one for 175 for parts and 60 for labor, and would do both for 410 (saving 2nd labor charge) if I did them both at once.
So, I have a few questions:
1. He said to replace both rear O2 sensors, should I?
2. What caused this, and how can I avoid it happening again?
3. Is his charge fair?
