p.s. thanks for the catch dnewman

I didn't divuldge how much I paid I just said what the amp retails for. And I stand behind what I said. I think you mis-represented what the output of that amp is.
Because 375 x 2 @ 4ohms is A LOT of power. For $250 thats a helluva deal. Highly unlikely but still a good deal.

Here is some information I found on the amp as listed on usacaraudio.com

Cadence Z-1200C 2x200W, MosFET, Low Pass/High Pass, 600W @ 4 ohm Mono $288.90

Check it out for yourself http://usacaraudio.com/CADENCE.htm

I made a mistake when I said it was 350 watts x 2 @ 4 ohm..in my quote you'll noticed I said "I think" meaning I wasnt sure.....I also told Dnewman good catch. the specs for the z1200c are:
4 Ohms:
2 Ohms:
Max Power: 250 x 2 4ohm
375 x 2 2 ohm
750 x 1 4 ohm
cadencesound.com
retail price $629.00....

Antiramie if your still reading this thing and need more info just post back.

WRECKA/Inspinout,

I don't know anything off hand about each of the amps you are referring to. I do know they are both high qaulity, have similar specs and similar retail prices. As far as spending 750 for a 450 watts amp....well, prices are mainly established by the type of amp. If you get a class a/b amp, it'll cost you $1 to $2 per watt. While class D will cost 40 to 50 cents per watt. This is where the big variation in the price of amps comes from.

Thanks for the input. I was just pointing out the 'slight' mis-print. No one is perfect and not all of us are well infomred. That is the main reason we have this forum, to gain a better understanding of things we have little to know knowledge of. It's cool to disagree as long as both or all parties involved 'try' to see things from both sides.
I went with Hifonics Generation IX series amps because I was tired of seeing all the more commercial amps in most systems.
MTX, (now) Rockford Fosgate, and a few others. It's a matter of preference but it also has to do with the best value for the dollar.

---when your dealing with facts there is nothing to try to see..i said i 'thought' it put out 375x2 @ 4 ohm I forgot that it was at 2 ohms dnewman picked up where I left off no big deal..theres no point of views here, theres nothing wrong with your amp, its a great amp.

oh well whatever

Get a Shiva from Adire Audio, or a SAE1204 from www.stryke.com. Unless you are more concerned about looks than you are about sound quality.

Ouch!

But, I second Dave's advice. I have a similar model and it leaves me speechless.
