i bought my svt used off a one owner. they told me that the recall for the svt springs had been done, since they were prone to cracking. well lo and behold...my front left and back left springs crack in half. i go to a local ford dealership and they tell me to bring the car in. after 3 hours they tell me that they cant do the work because the spring replacement recall excluded the svt and the other recall was already performed. they wanted $800 to fix it. i then called ford hq, and they told me they have a record of the recall being done on my car but they couldn't help me. i ended up getting a local shop to do it for $400. now what do u guys think i should do...go after the dealership that performed the recall and try to make them pay for replacing my springs? since their techs obviously didnt perform the correct fix....or try to make ford pay for it? thanks for any advice!

Fighting against Furd would be like a three-legged cat fighting a fire-breathing, wart infested Dragon with 27" razor fangs while having a bad hair day.......good luck with that. just my .02

IIRC, once something is fixed under a recall, it must be fixed free of charge if it ever breaks again. See if you can track down the paperwork for the fix. Then talk to a lawyer.

Good luck. I have been going back and forth with Ford and the NHTSA for 7 months on the SVT spring issue. I will not give up!!!!
