Wow, it takes so little for everyone to get their panties in a bunch  He just posted pictures of a fast WRX. He didn't say that Fords suck or challenge the size of anyone's penis, but now eveyone has to defend how theirs is the biggest, I mean fastest. People need to settle down

Let me give you an example of how this could work. My exgirlfriend drives 1.3 miles to work one way. How many tires would she go through in a year?
Maybe not a lot. But she would burn a lotta gas because the engine would probably need to time to warm up and time to idle for the turbo once she parks....
And my panties aren't in a bunch, I'm just discussing why that car isn't truly streetable and someone mentioned 600-700hp 2.3L engines ,so I mentioned one with even more power, again just a discussion.

I don't think it's going to consume a lot of gas just warming up. With all the different tuning capabilities of electronics nowadays you can tune for just cold load startup. I think it may be perfectly streetable - biggest problem I see being low speed clutch chatter from a clutch capable of handling that power. I plan on running 600rwhp on my Cobra and keeping it perfectly streetable. I think it can be done. Again, my panties aren't in a bunch, either. Just discussing. A lot of intent can be misinterpreted in text only messaging so I try to make good use of smileys.

600hp from a v8 and from a 4cyl are pretty different though. Also, I'm sure you're not gonna have extreme camber angles,etc. like that car.

fast for a "4 banger" or fast for a "8 banger". have you ever riden in a stock wrx; only 224 hp. that will send you to the back of your seat when the turbo kicks in. dont ya think 600hp would do a bit more?
