We, the people who take valuable time out of their lives to help correct the otherwise rampant dissemination of abject bull [censored] that pervades this forum from time to time so that others won't fall into your trap, CARE, you unapologetically misinformed knob.

LOL I meant no harm. I was just trying to say who cares If I need to measure a before and after temp. You can feel if your brakes are getting hotter. These rotors do make the brakes run cooler.

Really? How? Are you saying they used to fade, and now they don't? And if that's what you're saying, are you saying (again) that the rotors made the difference, and NOT the fact that the pads have a different compound, and NOT the fact that the materials involved are fresh and different than they were before? If that is indeed what you're saying, then there's all the proof we need that you blingy rotor types stretch too hard to post-justify your purchases.

You know I was not trying to justify anything about my purchases. The individual asked a question I tried to help them out. I only referenced my install to help them because they mentioned SVT brakes. You and others turned this into I know more than you response. Yes the brake pads are made of different material that fade less. And yes the holes release gas allowing for better braking I knew all that. The point I was trying to make was they improved the braking power dramatically. The combo of the rotors and brake pads for all those who want to question what I meant.

I don't have to know anything about brakes to recognize a misattribution of causality.

And such misattributions, when stated as fact, are not helpful.

And if your point was that your new brakes worked really well, you chose an odd way of saying it. In fact, there really is no other way to read what you wrote than that you are attributing "cooler brakes" (which you can't possibly know) to holes in your rotors. In fact, you do it again when you say "The holes release gas allowing for better braking...they improved the braking power dramatically." You follow this with "The combo of the rotors and brake pads for all those who want to question what I meant."

Hey, I hear Wesley Clark needs a new campaign manager...

Well, I make no claims, but the fact is, apparently, some people do know more than you. There's nothing wrong with that. A lot of people know more than me, or do certain things better than me. I don't get asked to sing at weddings, or play baseball for the Yankees, but it doesn't really break me up, and I don't start fights about it.

Nothing is wrong with that. What is wrong is you keep having the last word. I didn't get everything correct I can admit that. But you and everyone else who just have to have the last word just drop it.

Wow, this forum is a trip!! To attempt to answer your simple question......I installed stock size (260mm I think) solid Brembo rotors and Raybestos ceramic brake pads on my '99 Sport. The brakes are terrific and fade free. In truth (IMO) any quality replacement rotor and pads will provide excellent braking performance.

'99 Sport TropicGreen,Duratec, SVT exhaust, Brembo rotors, Ceramic pads, K&N filters(oil & air), Alpine CDM7874, Polk DB570 speakers front and rear. Fog light mod. 50% Formula One tint.
