What is 100% cooler? If they ran at, say 500 Degrees F., 100% cooler would be , um, 0 deg. F.?????
REminds me of an ad I seen that promised 400% savings. I think they meany 1/4 the cost. But you can't save more than 1005 because after 100% off it is free. Of course, as any Ford Service shop can explain, they can charge 400% MORE.

I meant I have much less brake fade from the heat. Yes the rotors look cooler but they do serve a purpose and it well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, here, but you replaced your stock, LX rotors and pads, which were probably a bit worn, with SVT-sized rotors and hi-perf carbon fiber pads, and you attribute a reduction in pad fade to the "cooler temps" from the rotor holes?

back to the original question, why not just upgrade to the focus SVt kit?

The brackets and other parts required aren't widely available yet. I would have if I could.

Correct overall the performance is awesome. I still have to bleed my brakes some more but everything else is cool.

OK. Not trying to be a butthead, here, but you realize that with as many things that changed in your braking system, there's no way to attribute your improvement to any one thing.
1) Worn pads are thinner than new pads, and therefore transmit heat to the backing plate faster.
2) The pads you replaced with are better at dealing with high heat situations.
3) You increased the diameter of your rotors, increasing the effective radius (leverage, torque) and creating a larger heat sink.
4) New rotors have more iron in them than worn out rotors. See #3.
5) You don't really know if your brakes are running cooler, because you haven't really measured them. They could be running hotter, but handling it better.
I don't want to start another C/D vs Plain-faced debate. There have been too many, and there are plenty of real experts in this area who have already made their points.

Roger, there appears to be an echo of cosmic proportions on this board regarding this topic. "my drilled rotors make my car stop faster [even though I also changed rotor size and pad compound] I mean think about it, holes make the rotors cool better, so don't be a hater".

You know I mean to be a butthead in saying who cares. The car brakes better that should be enough.
