OK. Not trying to be a butthead, here, but you realize that with as many things that changed in your braking system, there's no way to attribute your improvement to any one thing.

1) Worn pads are thinner than new pads, and therefore transmit heat to the backing plate faster.

2) The pads you replaced with are better at dealing with high heat situations.

3) You increased the diameter of your rotors, increasing the effective radius (leverage, torque) and creating a larger heat sink.

4) New rotors have more iron in them than worn out rotors. See #3.

5) You don't really know if your brakes are running cooler, because you haven't really measured them. They could be running hotter, but handling it better.

I don't want to start another C/D vs Plain-faced debate. There have been too many, and there are plenty of real experts in this area who have already made their points.
