They are ok I have only eaten there once because there are not many around here. The big thing right now seems to be chipotle and baja fresh instead of subs have you looked into either of those ? The ones we have around here have a line out the door at lunch time.

Not sure if you could open one in Jersey, but Penn Station has some of the best subs I have ever eaten! It is jam packed with meat and cheese, and the bread is awesome!
Penn Station
They are always busy around here.

Quiznos does do well. I work in a downtown mecca of tall buildings and the sandwiches are good. Of course, in Californai we enjoy more eclectic foods/tastes than the average midwesterner.
Out TOGO's closed up shop due to high rent and no weekend or dinner crowd. Surviving on lunch fae would seem kinda tough and I will be suprised if the Quiznos stays open all that long.
Togo's seems to have the best quality for the money out here in CA. The $8 at Quiznos for a sandwich chips and drink is a bit pricey!

Wow, wasn't expecting that many responses so quickly..
Togo's tried it's hand out here, and miserably failed. Panera Bread isn't doing much better, and will probably close shop within the year. The Chick-Fil-A's are doing business like you wouldn't believe, but I'm about a year too late for that.
I guess we don't have the same tastes as the west coast folks.. I never really considered the fact that we have ALOT of sub shops around here, either.. I guess that could conceivably pose a problem.
JerseyCat: I've been contemplating locations in the Mount Laurel/Moorestown/Maple Shade area. All 3 places have their good and bad points. They're all fairly far from the Marlton location, so I think we'd bring in some good business, especially considering alll the businesses around there.
For those interested, to get one up and running in this area, you're looking at about $200K plus some working capital to keep things running for a few months until you become profitable. Quizno's claims they'll help find you the prime real estate locations, help finding competitent help, and work with you on the financing aspects as well.
Supposedly, the average yearly profits are in the neighborhood of $450K. Not sure if I believe that or not, but it does make for a compelling arguement.

Sujeet, have you done any prelimary investigation on this? If it is like any other franchise, new locations are generally offered to current owners before a new owner is ever even considered. A few years back, my inlaws were interested in getting a fast food franchise (taco bell was their number 1 choice) but upon talking the with Taco Bell and a lawyer, they found the franchise would have to be passed on by close to 20 owners before they would be considered. Most of the time, not more than 2 owners would ever pass on the prospect.
As far as Quiznos goes, the smamiches are amazing, but a bit pricey.
BTW, the number one franchise to get into right now, I think is "curves for women" which requires very little capital to get into (just a storefront and a miniscule amount of exercise equipment), but has the same caveats as other franchises.
EDIT: I didn't see the post above this one when i wrote it.

We have about 90 million Curves in our area now, it's really ridiculous. Quite a racket, they even sucked my g/f in for $30/month for a full year. It's all resistance equipment, that doesn't seem to do much.
Quizno's is a bit different in that you can only own 2 Quizno's, period. We've only got 3 in the local area, and those owners aren't expanding. I met with their franchise salespeople earlier this week, and got the skinny on everything. They gave me a map showing the available areas in the state, and it's still fairly open. They're running my application now, while I do my due dilligence and go through their prospectus and all.
I was initially looking to buy an already-running store/franchise, but haven't found what I was looking for. In the meantime, this opportunity popped up, and I'm just checking it out.

Excellent. Sounds like it could be a good investment. Wasn't sure how widespread the Curves phenomenon had spread.

They are OK. I think Slotchsky's is a little better. Do you have those in Jersey?
