When I turn the volume up I get a static in the background on the radio. This doesn't happen with the cd player only the radio. It didn't used to do that with the old speakers....

(I just put some infinity 6x9's in my front doors, they are powered by an alpine amp(70wx2). I ran 12 gauge wire from the trunk to the front doors w/ no problems.)

now those speakers are running off the amp always right? Just want to make sure. Did you pull the stereo and check and see if your antenae is hooked up tight?

Yes they are.


Yeah I had to take the HU out when I ran the drivers side speaker's wire and it was fine.

I have no idea then.....sorry!
