$240 for labor to install new struts and springs on a '98 SVT. That is at Big O tire....decent sized tire chain.
Not a bad price...the alignment was $45.00 for front and rear....brings it to $285.
Is that a decent price??? What's the going rate these days?

Save yourself a ton and go to a reputable speed shop or rice shop. I got mine installed all for 80 bucks. They are going to charge me 60 to basically do the fronts again for the camber kit. Sounds a lot better than 240, huh? Are you sure the 50 bux is for front and rear? that sounds like the price for a front only alignment.

Have you evrr been to KY? There really isn't much here....we don't have a population to support the tax base, state income taxes are through the roof. As a matter of fact, all taxes are high here. So....we really don't have much in the way of speed shops but I'll try Bowling Green. I think the speed shops here sell like Rancho shocks for your pick up truck and that is it.

Kentucky doesn't sound too fun. I bet it is 20 times safer than San Bernardino, California though. I think it was rated like #2 in the nation's worst cities to raise a child....I'm ok though.

I'd rather install the struts and springs myself then pay that much. There is always people that will do it for less. You could have talked to other people that had lowered cars and trucks and they'll normally do it for $50 to $100. That is a good price for alignment. Cheapest (good) alignment I could get front and rear was $49.
