on the way home from work one tried to race me on the highway - (legal race track) the otherday. he was surprised when i started pulling pretty good on him. must of been a auto.

but to chime in... my 6s would definitely give my SVT a good romp... and now that my Injen intake is coming, it will be even more fun!
can you say dyno tested 11HP at the WHEELS!!

Hard to buy eleven whp, either the stock intake is really choking the motor or Injen really wants to sell intake kits.

i think its believable. look at some of the hondas the Vtec ones. just an intake gives them about 10 hp

The 6s is the V6, the 6i is the 4cyl, definitely no turbo though. But there's a big "hole" in the engine bay above the exhaust manifold where one would fit. The 6i doesn't make torque worth a crap before 3000rpm and doesn't really start to pull until probably 5000rpm.

Ok i test drove a mazda6 i and a mazda 6s and the s kicks a** but the i does have some shap to it with the right upgrades it can tear up some cars pretty bad. And as for the intakes 10hp at the wheels hahaha yeah right its 10% of the hp you have it will give you!!I know cuz i have a honda civic with a cold air intake have me 4 horses at the wheels. Oh yeah i test drove a evolution 8 today and i think i want one they are mean mean 4 cylinders. Hard to believe  271hp 273torgue at the wheels out of a 2.0 dohc 16 valve. EVOLUTION 8

That's because you quoted the "crank" numbers there...
It puts around 230's to the wheels in stock form and needs 18psi to do it. (Can you say PEAKY folks!)
As for the aftermarket. Just look at the DSM's... 'nuff said!!!

271 from a 2.0 with 18 pounds of boost, try the honda s2000. 240 from a 2.5 just motor. but still the evo is nice.
