If it has power windows, the window regulators are prone to failure from what I hear.

The 2.0 is a solid powerplant, but won't impress anyone with performance. Oil consumption tends to be high, but it's apprently quite normal on those motors.

Depending on the power equipment on the car (probably not much), VW had troubles with electrical gremlins that they seem to have gotten under control, but may affect that car.
