Sorry I didn't reply sooner...was out of the area on business for a few days...anyway, I'm in Lehighton (@30 miles north of Allentown) in the "foothills of the Pocono's". We get hammered with snow here quite a bit. I just bought two new Ultra Grips to replace two of the ones I already had due to severe wearing in the other two (alignment issues). I was planning to put the new ones on the front and use the remaining two that are still good, but I'm having doubts now. I forgot how deep the tread really is on them...13/32. The two good ones that I have are somewhere around 5/32 or maybe SLIGHTLY more at best. I'm guessing having 13/32 on the front and only 5/32 on the back might create a "handling hazard"??? Even after the "break-in" period. I've never tried it before. Maybe I'll just break down and get two more new ones.
