, but... try finding a program called irqboost to select higher priority for IRQ8 (real time clock)... a search through the registry can also find the setting manually...look for irqpriority or just priority or irq8 etc...there are other irq's there set to various levels of priority... set the irq8 priority to whatever the entry is for high instead of normal. I'm not using windows now so I can't search the accurate key names.
If my suggestion sucks then...

oh yeah... boosting IRQ 8 can sometimes show a noticable performance improvement... don't ask me why 'cause I don't know, but do a search about irq8 priority anyway... it's a Windows secret
