Hello, all. I was reading the forum and I came across a locked topic (about keying and insurance). I thought the question within was going to be an honest one, as I truly would like to know if insurance is willing to pay for things like this. I am a dorm director, and I have to park in the dorm parking lot. While I do not advertise that it is my car, it's a small campus and the students know my car. My hood looks like someone dragged something across it (or, my guess is that they used my hood as a slide). I also have dings, dents, and scratches across the door panels. Some, I'm sure are from regular wear and tear associated with parking in a public lot, others, I'm not so sure. I never thought to do anything about them, but I keep getting new ones every now and again, so my question is: is it worth filing a claim? Will insurance pay for these things and will my rates go up? It's a fairly new car (yes, I know we're up to 2004 models now), but I still like taking pride in vehicles and I'd like for it to look good. Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance!
