When he's talking about smart mods.. it's not a 25lb aluminum wing hanging off the back of your car. Honda motors react extremely well to intake mods, and good exhaust mods. A well driven GSR or Si with a good I/H/E setup can easily be in the 14's.. but the majority just drive around with homemade intakes and fart cans and call it modded. hence all the ricers..

yeah there are a lot of ricers out there. i wa stalkign to a friend today that wants to do a swap with a h23 motor from a honda crv into his crx cause the crv's h23 has 200 hp. last i remember the crv has a b20 dohc with 150 hp. this guy is realy confused. i never jheard of a h23 from a crv making 200hp and 160 ft lbs of torque stock. on top of that he thinks it will mount up with his stock tranny on his 1.5 crx.

Gsr's can easily break 14's. We are selling one that ran 15.06@91.2 mph. stock i believe they do 15.5 or 15.4. It's for sale on ebay right now. 94 with cat-back, high flow cat. aem cold air, act stage 1 clutch.

The H23 dohc is from a 92-96 Prelude Si. 160 horse. Decent motor... the Crv Indead has a variant of the B20, it makes a great hybrid ex:gsr b18c1 head on the b20 block makes for serious horse and torque for a honda. A properly done setup can yield about 225 horse and 160 lbs of torque.. but the torque curve is totally flat almost to redline. They also make an h23 Dohc Vtec also known as an F20 from a 98-up European Honda Accord Type R, it' sources from an H22a. More aggressive cam profile slightly bigger bore. depending on model it ranges from 217-223 horse. as for bolting up to his d15 tranny it wont work. LOL.

still nothin but love for the audi' and of course C-SVT.

He was being nice actually.

For the higher HP, lower TQ engine design in the GSR that's actually a really good time for the trap speed. It shows the driver nailed a good launch and every shift.

Ok i had a modded (automatic) 98 civic hx 1.6 with intake, header, exhaust, plugs, wires, pulleys, and chip. When i bought my SVT tour we raced 2 times, once on the road and once at the strip. I let my friend drive my svt(at that time i wasnt very god at driving a manual tranny). The civic won both times but had to catch up cuz of the v-6/4 cylinder difference but only won by a car on the strip and a front bumper on the road. So as i say really good modded ricer civic can beat alot of cars(as i have done). But since i have modded my SVT with exhaust, intake, plugs and wires and a B&M short shifter. We raced again at the strip and my svt killed the civic. So a modded SVT against a modded civic the SVT should win(Hence that the guy can drive the SVT well enough to win)
