All the quasi street racing posts and other associated nonsense on here are getting old quick.

there is no way it dyno'd at 215 fwhp with only a header (don't say headers!) and a catback. There has to be a lot of other work done to that, like a turbo, or a lot of internal work, to reach 215 at the wheels. Sounds like this dyno was broken with 215 hp and 110 ft/lbs....the stock motor in this car would be a b18c i believe. maybe b18c1....this car, tuned right, would easily beat the stock svt.

First of all IMO Acura SUXS, second 215hp I agree there is no way with the minor mods he has. What I don't agree with is that a modded Acura would easily beat a stock SVT, depending on the mods he may not win against the svt at all!SO if he acually has enough money in his dads bank account to put a good 15K in his POS acura, he might win. Now he is modded, and most likley not street legal, NO Emissions sticker in MD.
It would be a nice run to see though, usually I'm the one behind the wheel of the SVT and all I get to see is the front of the Acura in my rear view mirror
Have a nice weekend

My friend has the "Honda Tuners..." book, where it shows you how to build a turbo'd gsr motor pushin 477 hp(at crank of course). good stuff and a very informative book.
Zippy, that's what happens when you have a 4 cylinder motor. Get a V8 if you want them to match.

I am going strictly by observed times here. Hence a stock SVT (most) run mid 15s stock and a 94 GSr runs the same. So with smart mod choices, the GSr would take down the SVT. Sad to admit, but they do have a weight advantage and not as much loss of traction from a stop. Are you sure the Acuras in your rear view mirrors (at the track!) are GSr's or are they RS or GS's? There is a big difference. A lot of people knock Hondas, but a person who knows what he's doing with one will surprise a lot of people.

the one in my mirror was a gsr. a stock gsr. he had a better start than me ill admit that but we was still side by side than i passed him. i know it was a gsr by the rims spoiler and litrtle chrome or polishes aluminum emblem on the back when i followed him to the strip of asphalt.

Chances are it was indeed a GSr, even though a lot of people get those rims and the VTEC badge isn't rare, those changes are too subtle for any faker usually. If it was stock, it makes sense that you might have beat him, but we were talking about modded Acura against stock SVT. That's neither here nor there, all I'm saying is that a good driver in a smartly modded GSr should theoretically win against a stock SVT. Sh!!t happens though, and it is not a perfect world, so anything can happen.

well heck, a pinto modded right could take a STOCK SVT :P
should be stock for stock or mod for mod. of course a modded car could eventually overtake a non-modded car.
