Good point.. We'll stay away from street racing stories. In my Si I used to have to go into 4th at the top of the traps as well, however the gearing is different between the GSR and Si trans, i believe the gsr has a longer gearing. i have raced a couple at moroso in WPB, and was not to impressed by them in stock form. they're supposed to go mid to low 15's but have yet to see a stock one do that. 
the last time i ran at the track against one he did 16.0@ high 80's...

I had a friend in college with a gsr, he only had an intake exhaust(header and catback), stage 3 clutch,and a chip and ran constant 14.5's.. hurt my feelings personally.... oh I forgot the biggest mod he had...upgraded grounds lol

im pretty sure the non svt's have to shift to 4th too right before the end of the 1/4 mile

well wasnt at a track exactly. it was an old closed road whre there is a housing development being built. this place has a long entrance and the gate or wal isnt up yet.
