A while ago my window started having a mind of it's own. The window would not go down when i click down, but when I click up, it will go down and if you try and make it go back up, it will not, it will just stop and go nowhere until you let go, which it then proceeds to keep going down. Once it goes down all the way, you hear the relay clicking and it will not go up. If I remove the panel, sometimes it would go back up, or I just play with the relay or the window, it may go up. A while ago a mechanic told me all I needed was a new relay and he was supposed to order it, but he never called me back so I decided to do it on my own. I really dont want to spend 45+ on a new relay if it isnt FOR SURE that this is the problem. So my question is, can I wire PAST the relay, just taking the thing out? That would just basically remove the auto-down feature I believe. There are four wires. A purple-yellow(?) wire, a yellow wire, another yellow(with black stripe maybe?) and a black ground. How can I wire this to work without the relay?
