The rack came yesterday, accessories include fairing and two Vipers for now. I got home from work at 11pm last night, with dinner I had the rack installed (under very low light) by 1am. Let's hope it's on right.

Those of you using Yakima on your Contour, are you getting wind noise at the Q40 clips? I seem to have disturbed the weather stripping, had to do it obviously, but now I am getting some air coming through at that point it seems. I dont notice it at other mount points but then again I am not sitting right next to them.

And what the heck, here is a picture.

I've had little problem with high amounts of wind noise. After a while the weatherstripping "relaxes" around the clips and the noise will get a little better. My main problen is that the ol' Zetec has problems on the interstate with both bikes up there due to the high wind resistance.

To those of you with the Yakima rack setup: Which size fairing are you using? They sell 4 different widths so I want to make sure I buy the right one when I do. I assume it's either the 32" or 38" sizes, but could be wrong...

The size yakima.com tells you to get is 38" for the fairing. They also tell you to get 48" poles to give you an idea on that relationship. When putting the rack together, you measure 38" from Q Tower to Q Tower (measuring the inner most edge of the tower). Check out my picture for reference.

Cool beans! That's what I thought would fit, but wasn't totally sure. I hope to place an order through www.agees.com this week or so as they're by far the best deal out there...especially with the 20% discount they have online. They're even throwing in free SKS locks too!

Hmmm, I'm positive mine said 20% when I signed up. I'm going to call them later this week so I'll get more info then I guess.
