That's because Chrysler has positioned itself in a higher market than Ford has. It's customers are willing to pay a little (or a lot in some cases) more than for a Chrysler than for a Ford. Just like Ford buyers are willing to pay a little extra for a Ford rather than drive a Hyundai. And Hyundai buyers are willing to pay a little more rather than drive a Kia.

But 38,800 for a Concorde.... Wow. I'd have bought a 300M if I was going to spend that kind of money, but that's me.
