It seems that if ford lost the crown-vic,
Never happen. Ford has the monopoly on RWD full frame vehicles and I think the steady flow of P71 sales will keep the Crown Vic in production for a long time. GM lost a lot of business when they dropped the Caprice, especiall the Caprice police package (9C1) with the LT1 'vette engine which is still heralded as the ultimate patrol car.

taurus,
Ford needs a cookie cutter car for it's rental fleet customers and a low cost car like the Taurus fits the bill. I think the Taurus is here to stay.

Nobody loves the other red headed stepchild of Ford.

excursion,
Somebody hasn't been paying attention. '03 is the last year of the Excursion. IMHO, Ford should have just stretched out the wheelbase of the Expedition to come up with a Suburban fighter, rather than throw a passenger body on a 1 ton pickup frame, but that's neither here nor there.

escape,
Excape is a rather nice little SUV IMHO.

and their van lines (not the commercial e-series)
The Aerostar is long gone, that leaves only the Windstar. The Windstar isn't a bad van, when it's running.

and brought over the streetka, the fiesta, the cmax and the fusion they'd probably make a lot more money.
After spending the money necessary to make those cars meet US regulations, I don't think Ford would be raking in the bucks.
