to answer your question. yes. the rest of the world gets much nicer, faster, more efficient cars than we do. and it sucks. and it won't change until some catastrophic event turns people away from SUVs and back to cars.
if you want to make a change, use your buying power to do it. and lobby for increased gas taxes to try and get the SUV road hogs to find another way to take the kids to dance lessons.
