Buy a 2ch amp and run it in bridged mode with your single sub presenting a 4ohm load (guessing 2ohm DVC). There are a slew of amps out there (for $200 and under) that can put down 500w or more into a 4ohm mono load.
BTW, mono amps that are stable at 1ohm are becoming more and more common.
